Running through the rain
In a crowded city
In a vast world
And at your side
Nobody
Masses fade in the emptiness
Unturned umbrellas
Clouds of grey smog
Floating in their tar blackened
Tar black
Black tarp
Habitats
Dry, unlike your face
Clenched and fearful
That your soul might hiss free
Your hand on your chest
A parasol for the dark light
Leaking from your bleeding heart
The train passes
And from between the neon cars
You see her
There across the crackling tracks
Where she beckons to you
The wind pulls your coat
As her loving hands once did
You leap
Just as you did when you met her
And just as you did when you fell for her
